Alaant’s Salute to Veterans:

Featuring Tiffany Orner of JDog Junk Removal and Hauling

Tiffany Orner of JDog Junk Removal and Hauling

Alaant is dedicating the month of November to honor our nation’s heroes. We have had the honor and privilege to work with many local veterans and we’d like to extend our sincere appreciation for their service. Each week during the month of November we will spotlight a local veteran who is going above and beyond to help other veterans find new job opportunities following their time of service.

This week we salute: Tiffany Orner, Business Development Manager, JDog® Junk Removal and Hauling – Capital Region

We asked Tiffany to share more about her background and military career along with her current role and company.

Q: For which branch of the armed forces did you serve?

A: The United States Air Force. My amazing mother served our country and I followed in her footsteps. I served in the Air Force and was stationed at the beautiful Travis Air Force Base in Northern California. After my service we moved to the Capital District and I held various jobs, but I wanted to have the opportunity to follow my purpose, which is helping fellow veterans. At JDog Junk Removal and Hauling I’m proud to say I’m able to do this every day.

Q: What was your favorite part about being in the service?

A: Serving with like-minded individuals with the same work ethic and passion to serve our country.

Q:  What skill did you learn in the service that is most transferrable to civilian employment?

A: Integrity first, service before self, excellence in all we do, which also happens to be the Air Force’s Core Values.

Q: Tell us your current employer and current position?

A: I am the Business Development Manager for the Capital Region’s veteran and military family owned and operated: JDog Junk Removal and Hauling, which is also a Military Veteran Partners company with a mission to empower, serve and protect. We do this by:

Empowering veterans through entrepreneurship by creating career and employment opportunities for veterans, military spouses, veteran family members and others who share our same values and work ethic. Serving our community by partnering with local charities that can reuse the items we haul away or benefit from resale proceeds. Protecting the environment using repurpose, resale, reuse, and recycling strategies that keep 70% of the items we remove from our customers’ homes and businesses out of the landfill. The company is also a proud partner of Veterans Advantage® . U.S. military veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve members and their families are eligible to receive new, exclusive benefits and discounts as A Real Thank You™ for their service from this program.

In addition to serving our community, we actively support military veterans by offering them job opportunities.

We are always looking for opportunities to support veterans in our area. Please reach out to JDog Junk Removal and Hauling if you know of ways we can be of further assistance to the local veteran and military community.
